The primary purpose of this site is to introduce you to the rich sounds of the Slovak language. All audio files have been digitally recorded, edited and saved as high quality sound files.  As a result the files are larger than what you may find on other sites and may therefore take a little longer to download (depending on the speed of your modem).  If your Internet connection is slower than a Cable or DSL speed which are between 500,000 and 1.5 Mbs (and most peoples are) you may wish to reduce the strain on  your patience by purchasing a CD version of the Slovak Language.  The cost is only $25.00 plus shipping.  Once you have the CD version of the Slovak Language, you will experience instantaneous access to all the audio files and a much richer learning experience of the Slovak Language.  In addition, you can study the Slovak Language without the need to be connected to the Internet. Your interface and access will still be through your WEB browser.   Appreciate the quality of the recordings made of Hana, who is a professional moderator for Slovak television, and try to imitate her yourself!

International Money orders clear faster and therefore the CD will be shipped as soon as the  request is received.  It can take up to 6 weeks to get the CD to your door using regular mail.
