Presentation of a Slovak Crèche to
the Oratory's Museum - Montréal, Québec, Canada
September 7, 1996

Saturday, September 7, 1996 was a very special day for Slovak Canadian living in Montreal as well as all Slovaks living in the rest of Canada and the world. The Museum of Saint Joseph's Oratory in Montreal was presented an original Nativity Scene from Slovakia for a permanent exhibition in the museum's collection of more than 250 crèches from all over the world. Mass was celebrated by Bishop of Spis Frantisek Tondra from Slovakia and many SIovak priests in Canada.

The Oratory was filled to capacity with Slovaks from all over Canada with the greatest numbers coming from Monteal , Ottawa and Toronto. The installation was followed by a dinner and reception for over 250 people.
